Definition of the main concepts

Knowledge - Information contributing the acquisition of skills and abilities, which is obtained through education or practice by expressing theoretical and practical approaches in the field of the specialization.

Ability – the manner of applying the knowledge obtained in the result of education, the opportunity to adapt /localize/ the knowledge. Ability is based on the person’s capabilities, knowledge and skills.

Skill – the result of proficiency of knowledge and actions, when the professional operations are performed quickly and accurately and are regulated in the same way.

Characteristics of Bachelor’s qualifications

(In case of excellency)

The Bachelor’s Degree is given to those students who generally perform:

Comprehension of the main aspects in the research and professional field of psychology, sociology and social work, having systematic and detailed knowledge in the scope of  the main classic, modern and innovative disciplines.

 The above stated supposes:

Abilities (generally)

Acceptable and reasonable information in the professional field: 

perception,

searching,

investigation,

analysis of the accepted and substantial information.

Abilities (particularly)

By the application of appropriate methods: 

·         Analyze, regularly review, unite, expand, localize, describe, explain their knowledge. 

·         Develop various and spherical research programs,  carry out certain elements of        research activity.  

·         Capable to criticize the theoretical and practical knowledge and research results

·         Putting forward research questions and defining solutions for them, prioritizing these solutions, show the public professional and non-professional knowledge, information.

 

Skills (generally)

·         Conceptual system’s perception and development of psychology, sociology,    social work; 

·         Argumentation and anti-argumentation, critical analysis;

·         Theoretical and practical, research problems’ solutions to problems;

·         Representation of innovative ideas;

·         Research (based on the researches done in the field);

·         Synthesis and fragmentation of knowledge, filling the gaps;

·         Benefit from the feedback connection;

·         Creating  copyright text materials (articles, essays, theses, etc.);

·         Using a foreign language (Russian, English);

·         Efficient usage of Informative and Communication Technologies (IT).

 

Skills (particularly)

  • ·         propose research ideas, 
  • ·         research actions, initiating social interference programs,
  • ·         diagnosing the main problems in the field of psychology, sociology and social work.

Characteristics of Master’s Qualifications

(In case of excellency)

Is given to those students who generally perform:

Comprehension of the main aspects in the research and professional field of psychology, sociology and social work, having systematic and detailed knowledge in the scope of professional and research experience, designing research programs,  figuring out their realization.

The above mentioned supposes: 

Abilities (generally

acceptable in the scope of professional fields:

·         information development, mastery of analytical techniques, which are necessary to   make the research,

·         analysis of knowledge, critical adoption,  

·         independent representation, substantiation and analysis of research technics and methods,

·         critical evaluation of the researches,

·         putting forward of hypotheses, checking. 

 

Abilities (particularly) in:

·         systematic work from the scope of difficult and various psychological, sociological and social work problems,

·         having definite position from the professional point of view, 

·         circulating information,

·         management, self-management and self-regulation,

·         professional communication,

·         planning and implementing professional and organizational activities

·         creating scientifically accepted and substantial professional works 

·         using IT’s in the profession

·         learning, developing and creating professional materials by using foreign languages (Russian, English, other languages as well)

 

Skills (generally) of

·         communication,

·         planning,

·         organizing,

·         investigating,

·         research planning,

·         management,

·         analyzing, criticizing,

·         quickly orienting in difficult situations,

·         creating texts,

·         creative, innovative.

·         taking into consideration opposing ideas, and being able to compare them

·         designing and implementing various social interference programs

·         application of data collecting methods,

Characteristics of the researcher’s qualification

(in case of excellency)

Can be given to those students, who generally demonstrate: 

Comprehension of the main aspects in the research, theoretical and methodological fields, having deep knowledge in psychology, sociology and social work, having systematic and detailed knowledge in the scope of professional and research experience, designing research programs, figuring out their realization. 

The above mentioned supposes: 

Abilities (generally

Accepted in the scope of professional field:

·    mastering research methodologies and methods, designing and implementing researches, creating new scientific-educational, theoretical and methodological opportunities

·      collecting research data and analyzing in the scope of appropriate analytical methods,

·       being able to comment research techniques, methods, methodologies in detail,  substantiating, choosing, using and changing, as well as offering new

·       offering scientific-research hypotheses, denying them or approving 

 

Abilities (particularly)

·  complex and multidimensional problems in terms of research and theoretical and methodological systematic, organized and creative research work in defining and filling in gaps in the information available

·    having a certain theoretical and methodological position from the professional point, offering innovative ideas and substantiate them

·         information circulation, 

·         management,

·         planning and realizing scientific-research activity

·         creating scientifically approved and substantiated scientific works

·         using IT technology

·         using foreign languages in working with professional materials, also creating scientific materials in foreign languages
