Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy

The branch of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy teaches diagnosing, treatment, intervention and rehabilitation. Clinical Psychology deals with the origin of disease, the influence of it on the psyche, and the relationship between patients and their environment.
Psychotherapy is the treatment of mental and emotional disorders through the use of psychological techniques designed to encourage communication of conflicts and insight into problems, with the goal being relief of symptoms, changes in behavior leading to improved social and vocational functioning, and personality growth. Mental health professionals work at a variety of places such as hospitals, mental health agencies, rehabilitation centers, and schools.

Organizational Psychology and Management
Organizational psychology concerns the application of psychological theories, research methods, and intervention strategies to workplace issues. Organizational psychologists are interested in making organizations more productive while ensuring workers are able to lead physically and psychologically healthy lives. Organizational psychologists who work for an organization are most likely to work in the human resources department. However, many others pursue careers as independent contractors or applied academic researchers.

School Psychology
School psychologists help children and youth succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. They collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments for all students that strengthen connections between home and school.  School psychologists are highly trained in both psychology and education. They work to find the best solution for each student and situation; they use different strategies to address student needs and to improve school and district-wide support systems. The majority of school psychologists work in schools. However, they can practice in a variety of settings including public and private school systems, school-based health centers, clinics and hospitals, private practice, universities, and community and state agencies and other institutions.

Forensic Psychology
Forensic Psychology is the application of psychology to the criminal justice system. Forensic psychologists delve into the vast psychological perspectives and apply them to criminal justice system. Forensic psychologists frequently deal with legal issues, such as public policies, new laws, competency, and also whether a defendant was insane at the time a crime occurred. All of these issues weave together psychology and law topics and are essential to the discipline of Forensic Psychology. Forensic Psychology knowledge is used in various forms, such as in treating mentally ill offenders, consulting with attorneys (e.g., on picking a jury), analyzing a criminal's mind and intent, and practicing within the civil arena.

Legal Psychology
Legal psychology involves the application of empirical psychological research to legal institutions and people who come into contact with the law. Legal psychology is a field which takes basic social and cognitive theories and principles and applies them to issues in the legal system such as eyewitness memory, jury decision-making, investigations and interviewing. Legal psychology and forensic psychology together form the field more generally recognized as "psychology and law".

Pedagogy and Psychology
Psychology and Pedagogy are rapidly developing subjects that increase our knowledge of individual functioning and contribute greatly to our approach to many contemporary personal and social issues. The structure of the team the social group, the individual and public opinion about the social role of its members, beliefs, value system, social and moral orientations, individual qualities are those psychological bases determining the existence of the complex system of interpersonal and inter-group relations. The problems of teaching and education have been the center of attention of pedagogues and psychologists for many years. The scientific and technical progress, the economic and spiritual growth of the society presents new demands on the education, mainly in the sphere of secondary education.

Social work
Social worker implements social policy of state among population. There is a great need for social worker both in governmental and private institutions and enterprises, as well as in all spheres of social life such as health, education, legal system, science and production. Social worker provides different range of assistance to clients, especially to those having limited abilities, families, children without parental care, invalids, elderly and women. Social worker should possess a number of professional and moral psychological qualities such as being kind- hearted, feeling of social justice, ability to communicate with clients. Social worker deals not only with problems of social sphere but also with socio- psychological, socio-legal, socio-domestic, socio-medical and educational spheres of clients which are rendered advice. Today there is a great demand for the services provided by social workers all over the world. Such activities as social aid, social assistance, charity and mercy refer to the sphere of social work.
